Castles

Emma wanted to build castles with her blocks. We proceeded to make them. We quickly found that with a more mobile Jackson (who is so close to crawling but not quite there. I have no idea how he gets all over the place with pulling his body weight as little as possible.) we had to keep moving the castle to give it a fighting chance.

Is it bad of me to always look at pictures and be amazed at how beautiful they are? They make me smile every time. You know what a fun time they are having even in a picture.

This picture was actually taken after the fourth attempt at making castle. Grandma Toni actually teaches the kids to destroy the fort/castle/house as soon as possible. Luckily for me, Emma likes to see the building process to completion before the total demolition proceeds. I can't say that for her cousins generally. This is actually her Ta-Da moment.

Need to be more consistent

I am so far behind on posts. I will have to catch up with all that happened during the lapse.

Emma has started to help around the house more. She helps clear the table and clean up toys. She has the habit of taking the toys from us in the living room and when we tell her to take them to her room, she takes it very literally. She will place it inches inside of her room. Here she has displayed her lining up skills to keep them all barely in her room. It makes us laugh but I think she gets a little confused that after the living room, we go to clean up her room where she has put all of the living room. She thinks this is how it should be left. Then again, she might be the one that is right. Until we find that out, I guess we'll do it my way.

So lately, in the mornings, Andy and I have split up the hair duties. I will be doing Emma's hair when Andy will bring Jackson back in with his hair "done." Both of them are so happy with themselves so I can't argue with that. I laughed pretty hard when I had to take Jackson to the store right after this and a woman approached me and asked if he had just woken up. I told her no, but his dad had done his hair. I told Andy the store and he thought the woman didn't know what she was talking about because Jack looked good. So I thought I would leave a picture of the difference in how Andy and I do hair. They sure do look happy, though.
