As far as the picnic? Yeah. The kids ran around the picnic shelter and I fed them a bite at a time as they passed each time. The whole concrete pad was surrounded by cacti so we had to keep running after Jackson to make sure he didn't fall into them or something. It was so quiet up there that it was almost eerie. We saw two hawks hunting and you overlook the lake from there. Andy kept hurrying us so we could go down there to the water.
We went down to the water and the kids loved it. Even Hammer enjoyed himself. He walked through the water until it was almost over his head. It was warm enough that I don't know if he realized where he was. The kids loved throwing rocks into the lake. They might have changed the tide by partially moving it.
Jackson was so exhausted since we were late for his second nap but didn't even take his first nap. We ended the day with Andy carrying a kicking and screaming child that I didn't claim as my own at that moment.

I have to hurry and add a story that actually happened yesterday at the grocery store. The kids were in the car part of the grocery cart and Emma kept trying to hug Jackson and he didn't want any part of it. He was screaming and trying to get away from her. Andy was pushing the cart and I had to go off to get produce. When I came back, it was even worse so I asked him if he could control his children. I went off chuckling to get an onion and an older man in a wheelchair was laughing and looking at me. I joked, "They're not mine." He then asked if I had any. "Oh, just them." He looked confused. He asked why he was screaming. Because his sister was trying to love him too much.
